Riverlands Polo Club (RLPC) is the leading coaching facility in Australia coaching over 150 players every year, with a playing membership of over 30 active playing members. RLPC is one of the largest clubs in Australia.
Offering coaching and private lessons all year round you could be playing polo in merely a few weeks. In addition RLPC host a series of training clinics that range from Introductory to advanced levels. The best coaches are sourced from around the world and include Adam Meally (Australia), Gavin Chaplin (South Africa), Earl Herbert (Australia) and Matthew Webb (UK).
Lessons will include a variety of coaching methods dependent on your skill level including: stroke skills and correct body position using the wooden horse, riding and horse control skills, 2 on 2 chukkas (for small group lessons), and on field coaching covering stokes, riding off, hooking, penalty shots and hit ins. Video coaching is another method that we use allowing you to see your improvement and polo style.
Although it is beneficial for participants to have riding experience, it is not essential.
We are available most days except Mondays.
Private or small group tuition as follows:
- From $150 per hour – private
- From $105 per hour per student – 2 students
- From $90 per hour per student – 3 to 5 students
- From $70 per hour per student on the wooden horse
